Cheats have been updated on the GBAtemp database, including codes for Okamiden, De Blob 2 ,Pokemon: Black, Pokemon: White.

Help! I am running the latest stable firmware from the home page V2.20 and just updated to the new codelist and the codes still do not show up when I start the game. All the other games will give me the option to use codes or not, for Black it just doesnt show up. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Danski90: When selecting cheats, the freezing issue is caused by the comments in the Encounter tab being too long. The workaround would be to not open the Encounter folder or edit the comments using the Cheat Code Editor.

RJ: Make sure the region codes match up. When you choose Select Cheats, what happens?

Well here is the thing, when I click to play black it never gives me the options to use the cheats, yet I just installed the new firmware and cheats two days ago. Also where do you go to edit the cheat codes?

Use cheat editor to detect your game ID.

You may be using the new cheat interface, in which case you'd need to press Y to open the menu and activate cheats from there,

Ok so i cant access any of the pokemon white/black cheats… I know how to enable them in the new interface, but they never come up and all it says is "No cheats found!"
and i opened up the user.evocheats file using the cyclods cheat editor and under the United States tab, i scrolled to the pokemon games and there are no cheats files for either black or white listed.
Can anyone help?

It's not under US or Europe, it's under whatever the last tab is, Unsorted or Misc or something.

you have to make sure the user.evocheats file is in the CycloDS folder… not the SD card folder… im so happy now :3

Are you using the right one? There are two, you may have activated the other Wild Pokemon Mod code, which uses the first two items in your bag instead of Master / Ultra Balls to modify your encounters.

Well now guys I have another problem. I can access the codes no problem now, however when I go to play the game the codes arent working at all. Not even the 100% catch rate. Any suggestions, it might be the way I access the codes, cause I switched it to the old prompt could that affect anything.

RJ, there's always a chance that there is a bug in the firmware (which would need to be fixed), but I don't think that is the case here. It's probably something else.

Make sure cheats are enabled, try running the game with battery saver turned off, and make sure the game isn't patched.

Hopefully, it will start working then?

Try activating the cheats then opening the Extended Menu while ingame, and let us know what the Cheat status is (Enabled / Disabled).

Finally figured it out. I had to access the codes from the Y menu, then go back to the config page and change it to activate through the old cheat prompt. Then the code finally worked. Now if i could find a patched version of Yugioh 5ds 2011 with english I would so so so happy. Thanks for the help guys.

if you had to alter the setting in the cyclo for it to work, you should report the bug.
that would be an unfixed bug with the "old cheat prompt" feature.

k so got an unpatched version of pokemon black (U), got firmware v2.2, and this cheat file. Game works if i dont use cheat, but obviously dont get exp, but when i turn the cheat on i get 2 white screens

Lost the firmware doesnt support the un patched version yet (I think they dont anyway). Try finding a patched one.

Does anyone have a no ban list code for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus. I found one No Ban List

I assume it means it affects Wi-Fi play, which gives the code user an unfair advantage over legitimate players.

Someone did something like that with Mario Kart on Wi-Fi. They had 1000000000 wins, 0 losses and we raced on the course Pipe Plaza (which isn't even a course) and then my game froze. -_-

About your cheat problems… only things I can think of:

Free up some space on the microSD card
Try moving everything off the card manually and then back on again (result = like defragging a HDD)
Re-download the cheat pack, in case the one you have is corrupted in some way

If that doesn't work, then there's probably no way to get the cheat code working.

@Anonymous: Not sure. Cheats are taken directly from GBATemp and re-hosted here, as mentioned above, so the delay is somewhere on their end.

I've just checked, and the 26 March cheat pack is still the most recent.

If anyone would like to submit an unofficial build, let me know and I'll add it to the cheats section here (giving credit, of course).

They sometimes go through these drought times in getting the codes compiled. You can if you have the editor and the skills to add codes you find on their pages, Codejunkies, Kodewerx or GSHI.

I could probably try compiling a cheat pack myself - the issue is mostly a lack of time. There are many things that I want to improve on this website, but time is the limiting factor. Holidays are coming up for me soon though.

Hey nath,

Just copy the user.evoCheats file into your "CycloDS" folder and then boot it up in the NDS as usual.

Make sure you have both the default.evoCheats (which is part of the firmware) and user.evoCheats (what you download from this page) in the folder.

That should work.

And to use them, select the game in the GUI and then open up the menu and activate the cheats that you want to use.

Not sure. We simply re-host the cheat packs from GBATemp for the most part - and I just checked, they still haven't updated it.

If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook we will post an announcement when a new cheat pack is available.

DS-Scene has updated cheats. Currently at 6/30/11.

I don't think they like people re-hosting them anywhere though. I also believe you have to be registered there to access the download. I don't know, maybe the admin here can work something out with the admin there or something…..just a thought.

Even though I initially created GBAtemp's cheat dat database, I haven't been involved with it since I passed it to Narin quite a while ago, so I really don't have a clue what's going on with the lack of updates from GBAtemp.

Hey,

I just bought a Cyclo Ds iEvolution and I have added a database list of codes to it. The codes show up when I want to choose them (this is for all games on my CDSi)…like it prompts me before the game starts and the list shows up. I choose the ones I want. The game boots. No cheats are enabled…. If I open the menu in game (R+L+A+B+X+Y) it says "Cheats Disabled"… Its a bit confusing. I've been reading on here and some of it seems as if it may pertain to my issue, but I'm not sure exactly which bits of information will help me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Literally… minutes after I posted, I solved it. Been trying for hours… and it works minutes after.

So I'll leave my previous post and for anyone having the same problem here is what I did.

Turn "Cheat Prompt" off in the settings menu.
Go to your games.
Press "Y" on the game you want
Pick the cheats
Push start (Returns you to the FW screen)
I double checked by pushing "Y" again to see if they were still on.
(Not sure if this is necessary)

Then just push "A" on the game your playing.

I know it sounds simple, I guess it was just the prompt that was throwing me off. Strange issue… I liked the prompt, seemed like a good feature.

The cheat prompt was from the Old GUI and originally wasn't a part of the new UI. Due to confusion when people attempted to enter a game and didn't get shown the prompt, they added it back in and I believe set it on by default.

So yes, having the cheat prompt turned off is probably a bit more stable with the newer UI.

They weren't getting enough help at http://cheats.gbatemp.net/forum/ so they just quit bothering. Go to DS-Scene.net and get their "DS Scene ROM Tool" to get the latest cheats now.

I've had my CycloDS evolution for about 2 years but I only just started updating it 'cause my brother used to do it. I updated the firmware and now have V2.3 and the latest cheat files. I have turned the 'Old Cheat Prompt' to 'ON' but when I press A B X Y UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT L R to go to the pause-like-screen it says the cheat codes are disabled and they wont work in any of my games either. I just did it for my brother and sisters and they wont work either! HELPPPP!!!!!

hmm whenever i try to use a cheat it doesnt work it stucks sometimes but even if it doesnt cheats wont work..i tried every single version you guys upload and none of them is working even simple cheats..please help :/
