Description

Lameboy DS is an emulator for the Nintendo DS console that allows users to emulate their Gameboy™ or Gameboy Color™ games on the newer system.

Lameboy DS does not support Gameboy Advance nor Nintendo DS games, however the CycloDS Evolution does with an EZ Flash 3in1.

This homebrew has only been verified to work in DS mode. It may not be compatible with the newer DSi mode.

Fantastic homebrew. Had issues with it though after a while… The config file messed up and would freeze if I did anything after loading the game. If I did anything it would go black and reset. I couldn't fix it

Would reformatting then re-downloading Lameboy work? You'd be replacing the homebrew + the configuration file with a new one, so that should remove any problems with the files themselves.

Well. I did that. But it ended up happening again. So I just gave up. >_<

Sounds to me like Anonymous would like to save the game the usual way - through the game menu - instead of using a Real Time Save state. I've never used Lameboy, so I'm not much help :(

Well. I had somewhat… like the same problem. I started out playing (game tittle withheld) and after I got past a few guards. I saved and had no problems with it. About… 3 hours into the game or so I went to save and it froze. So I rebooted and went to load and it said my save was broken. So I started state saving and when I did that for a bit it just froze when I used any form of save/state >_<. I doubt the SD reaction times were a problem. Its a mighta typed that wrong. —>HCSD 8gb PNY. Needless to say. I gave up :P

Might be a bug in Lameboy itself then.

To use the normal saves, you just have to press "X" after you save in game, this will cause Lameboy to write the right .SAV file to the MicroSD card and be able to restore it on the next run.

I have another problem:

I can't enable the Rumble feature in Lameboy (for games such as Pokémon Pinball), using my 3in1+.
I tried enabling 3in1+ in Cyclo DS settings menu and in GBA Exploader, but Lameboy gives no rumble at all, neither by the Rumble test feature in the emulator menus nor in Pokémon Pinball settings menu… :(

Anyone knows any way to make it work?

Read the note at the bottom of this page: http://lameboy.nutki.com/?p=19 (and I've copied it here in case the link stops working in a few months' time)

Note for 3in1 expansion rumble: To use 3in1 Expansion Pack in Lameboy you need other software that enable it and slot1 device with soft reset capability. It was tested with 3in1_ExpPack_tool.

Does that help? I've never tried it myself, so I just did a web search to find that page for you.
