Moonshell 2 is officially supported by Team Cyclops as of CycloDS firmware 1.55, though with some tweaking of directory structures, it will work with earlier firmware versions.
Moonshell v2.10 was released 19th February 2010.
Patch for v2.10, fixing a problem with headphone sound quality

Can You Post The Correct Folder Structure For Moonshell On The Cyclo Ds To Make The Middle Media BUtton Work

E:\moonshl2\moonshl2.nds is the correct path copy all 3 .nds from the root to here and ur all set to use the middle media button

As I think is mentioned in the FAQ, recent firmwares have the new Moonshell file structure set as default.

Is there an expiration date for v1.71 (release 3)?
I've been using it instead of Moonshell 2 (evo) because of the customizable text colors/theme, but as of today… several hours ago, it failed to load up. Shortly after that, it just informed me that it wasn't installed. (This prompted the change to Moonshell 2—which unfortunately has a text reader color scheme that fries retinas while reading in the dark, even at the lowest backlight setting.)
Incidentally, I have a few other SD cards with various configurations (for backup purposes); checking them all showed me that the primary card fail wasn't a fluke. And post-Moonshell 2 installation/use, I grabbed a few dark skins—hoping that the themes would carryover into the reading program, but it seems to be a standalone app within the shell.
At this point, I'm guessing that the original Moonshell is dead, but will there be any plans to make the text reader in v2 (evo) more configurable?
