Description

This is a program that will make your .NDS game icons appear in Windows Explorer on Windows 7 64-bit. It's particularly useful if you've tried using Evolution Tools but it doesn't work for you.

It was created by 12354 on the Team Cyclops forums.

Instructions:

  1. Extract it! (DO NOT just double-click on NDS_Icon Installer.exe when it is still in the archive)
  2. Run NDS_Icon Installer.exe to install the program
  3. Restart your computer

If you'd like to uninstall the program, follow the same steps as outlined above. The same installer is used to uninstall the program.

You cannot delete the .dll's until you uninstall it!

Hey 12345, usually the way we'd add new versions is to create a new page. That way if anyone wants to try a previous version, it's still hosted here for them to try.

I think version 3 is in the latest website backup I made, so if you want me to set it up that way let me know. Otherwise we can just keep one page for the app as it is now.

Isn't the official EvoTools application sufficient for 32-bit?

The anon on 17 Dec seems to be saying that it makes the icons appear, but causes other annoying problems instead (such as being unable to move/delete games).

Can anyone else confirm / un-confirm this behaviour? If it is that buggy, I'll probably remove it from the site altogether until the developer releases an update.

I had no problem moving or deleting them after installing the program.
However the icons still do not show up when using my "Total Commander" but they
do show up in the windows folders.

What is Total Commander?

Total Commander (former Wincmd) is a file manager for Windows (TM) similar to the Windows Explorer. But Total Commander uses a different approach: it has two fixed windows side by side like a well-known file manager for DOS.
