Redevelopment - applications

The section titled "Apps" in the top menu has just undergone a few major changes. It should be ready for new content now. It uses a reasonably new feature for our host Wikidot.com (was implemented about two months ago), but I haven't actually used it on this website until now.

If this works well I will consider using the same design for skins.
