Re: VBA to CycloDS

Sorry, I haven't messed around with GBA emulation for a while so I'm not sure what to suggest here.
Perhaps try making a backup of the save file, then starting a new one for Golden Sun. Check that the new save file saves properly - if it doesn't, the battery in your EZFlash 3-in-1 may be dead.
Replacement instructions are here: Saves not working? Change your EZFlash 3-in-1 battery!
Gariscus may be able to help you out a bit more, but I haven't seen him around recently. Try sending him a message perhaps, if you think the battery isn't the problem and want to try something else?
Good luck.

Don't worry about it :)
It's part of the back-end / hidden part of the website, so I haven't paid much attention to making it easy to use (compared to other areas, such as the homebrew listing).
So I'm not surprised you had some problems posting.
The main thing was, you posted the important parts (sources & the actual file), so it was easy for me to edit it from there.

Okay, I've edited the page to include references to our source. It's only fair that they be recognised for compiling the cheat pack originally.
Except for once before, we here at Revolution usually do not compile our own cheat packs and instead re-host them from other websites for your convenience (so you can find cheats on the same website as all of your favourite skins, homebrew and firmware updates).
This one came from the CMP Cheat Database.
3DS Update: 26-27 July, 2011
27 Jul 2011 11:57 (27 Jul 2011 11:57) in response to Announcements
New update for Nintendo 3DS consoles today.
Included is an official warning from Nintendo that your console could end up being permanently disabled.
Previously there have been unconfirmed rumours that Nintendo could do this if they detect a flashcard in the system. If I remember correctly, this rumour came from a Japanese launch poster for the console. So this warning takes that a step further, as it is a more official response from Nintendo on the matter.
It is unclear whether this 3DS software update just includes a warning only about things to come, or if it also includes anti-piracy measures of some kind.
The notice from Nintendo may just be protection for them as a company. If your console is damaged in some way by unauthorised equipment like a flashcard, they may refuse to repair it. Or it may also be something more sinister, and imply that they will intentionally disable an offending console.
Personally, I think it's nothing much to worry about - but you should certainly keep this in mind. There is no way for Nintendo to distinguish between someone that only plays homebrew, and another person that obtains their games through piracy.
Compatibility: So far I have heard of at least one other flashcard that still works after this update, but I'm not sure about the CycloDS iEvolution. As it has had no problems with previous updates, I assume that it will still work after this one. Is anyone able to test it for us?
The official word from Nintendo is posted below.
2.1.0-4E

For those that are interested, there is a 32-page discussion about the possibility of the 3DS being remotely bricked by Nintendo on GBATemp, but the latest post at the time of me writing this is the 23rd of July - before this 3DS system update.

21 Jul 2011 01:56 (21 Jul 2011 01:56) in response to Cheat Update: 26 March 2011
The cheat prompt was from the Old GUI and originally wasn't a part of the new UI. Due to confusion when people attempted to enter a game and didn't get shown the prompt, they added it back in and I believe set it on by default.
So yes, having the cheat prompt turned off is probably a bit more stable with the newer UI.

I'm still waiting for my Xbox Dashboard update to arrive - it's meant to be phased out over a few days since the 6th December. 8th now and still waiting. At least, finally, Australia gets voice support with Kinect when this update lands on consoles. Apparently US and UK have had voice working since release?
BTW, in other news, I bought a Wii. Have been playing a LOT of Zelda: Skyward Sword lately.

"and starts conversation" <— Actually, you got a point there.
And I just converted a friend who "just don't get it" to Minecraft. Once I bought the game for him and he started messing around with pixel art (creative mode), he started to understand just how addictive the game is. It's simplicity is what makes it so popular - it leaves plenty of room for imagination & lets people be inventive with the tools they've been given.

So I guess in a way, you could say that "yes", we are being optimistic and hoping that Team Cyclops decides to release another update.
I'll be supporting the website with some more CycloDS skins, once I get a chance, anyway.

If Team Cyclops really has released their last update, this website will still remain for those that need help with using the devices (e.g. bought one a year ago and it stops working or they have problems sometime in 2012, they can come here for answers).
Should another flashcard show itself to be the clear leader on Nintendo 3DS, I'll most likely create a new website for that.
