I haven't read anything recently but towards the end of last year I read "The Gathering Storm", the latest book in the epic "The Wheel of Time" series.

Ah, Eragon! They're awesome! The movie sucks though :)
No idea when the final book is being released. I think Gariscus is a bit of a fan as well, so he might know. I distantly remember a conversation about Eragon on the TC forums…

Ah, Eragon. I am a big fan of that series. I don't even know the title of the fourth book let alone when it will be released.
Leiger, the first book in The Wheel of Time series is The Eye of the World. I can't really write down the general plot it would probably be several pages long(that should give you some idea on how long each book is).

about Eragon, the movie does suck. i hear they are planning to remake it again because they left out so many important parts.

Loved the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, not sure if he's releasing more; I've got them all so far. My favourite series, along with Sherlock Holmes. It's several books long, if you want I'll post the order.

The order would be helpful ;-) I've got a bunch of others to read after this one now so it might take a while until I get around to looking at Artemis Fowl, but when I do it'd be great to know which one to look at first.

Artemis Fowl -> Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident -> Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code -> Artemis Fowl and the Opal Incident -> Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony -> Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox
There's another book that has to do with Artemis Fowl, but it's not actually part of the series; can't remember the name right now, but it goes into some background information on the characters and stuff.

my friend loves the Artemis Fowl series. he's got all the books.
also, i've just finished writing a short fantasy story for english, so if you want to read it, i'll post it up here.

I dont know know if this counts but i regularly play the lone wolf books on the ds. Also i have downloaded all the fighting fantasy books but playing on a pdf reader or comic book ds can be tedious.

Anyone read anything from the fantasy genre … i.e. kingdoms with epic wars, knights, wizards, etc. (Harry Potter is a more modern example of fantasy… but most are set in the middle-ages with horses for transport, etc)
If you do - what are you reading lately?
I used to read a ton of fantasy novels in primary school, but in high school and now definitely in university I don't have the time any more. I've spent about 6 months trying to get half way through a book that'd usually take me about 1-2 weeks to finish. Spirit Gate by Kate Elliott, (Note: Not for young readers)
