Would you ever use them? The Quote option isn't perfect, but it's the closest thing I can make in Wikidot at the moment. The Permalink button does the same thing it does in every forum… but not many people ever use that anyway.

i like it leiger! much better than uploading a tonne of files to a profile page.

Why do I need my profile page? o.o

That's pretty clever, what you've done with the profile page link there. I'm on to you…

Tried the quote buttons, not sure if they agreed with me.
Shadow: The profile page was in case you need to upload anything that didn't need to be restricted to one thread, I believe.
And James, I noticed what he did there too…clever ;)
Although my name was lower case.

LOL :) People think I'm speaking directly to them, just because it happens to change depending on who's looking at it.
I could have some fun with this, if I disguise it in the middle of another page… ;-)

The four lines of code that you see are meant to be there. It's the only way I could get anything resembling a 'quote' feature. Just copy that code, create a new reply and paste it in. The only problem is that it includes their quotes too… so it can very easily lead to quote blocks all over the place.
And yes, that's what I meant with the profiles.
I'll see if I can fix that lowercase name… let me know if it works or not when you next look at this thread.

Ah, I see…
and yes, the username is formatted properly now.

Something to try if you want to test the Quote feature without actually putting it into your post, is to paste it in then hit "Preview". You can always delete it before you save the post.

can quotes be done for chat?

Not sure why you'd want to use quotes in chat… ?

Regular users of the forum have most likely already noticed this, but I'm posting this to announce the changes to anyone that doesn't watch the website that closely.
Yesterday, I added the following features to the forum:
Please only use the 'attach files' link for uploading files that you are going to use in that thread. If you're going to use the file elsewhere, please upload it to your profile page.
NDS lite (Jet Black) FW v5 | CycloDS Evo (Black) HW 1.1 | Transcend 8GB µSDHC Class 6 | EzFlash V 3in1+ (Black)
Nintendo 3DS: Message me if you want to exchange FC. Lost your game save files? You might want to try one of these.
