I like the look of the new ones, and the colour is fine. :) (Unless you want to match the borders to the red theme.)

I tried using the same colours in the theme, but it didn't look right to me. I was using them mostly as background colours though - I'll have to try it with just the border colour changing to the red/maroon colour and see how that appears. Thanks for the suggestion :)

No-one likes error messages. They either cause frustration when things don't work as you expect them to, or they're a reminder that you're an idiot for forgetting to log in again! ;-)
So I decided to spend a little bit of time making them look better than they used to1:
Here's the upgraded version of the same message:
Then there's the other messages, that were affected as a result because they use the same CSS classes. These might need a bit more tweaking before they look right:
And this is the new "edit lock" message (which appears when you attempt to edit a page that someone else is editing, to avoid conflicts):
That one also needs some improvements.
So - what are your thoughts on these changes? I think it looks better than before but you probably think I have bad taste!
Or do you just think my colour choice is a bad one? ;-) If you do, suggest what I should use instead and I'll bring back a screen shot of what it would look like with those colours. Preferably… give RGB values or a hash value, instead of just saying "green" or "red" or "maroon".
