Amazon says the battery is not released until April 30. I will be getting one when it does. Hope it still fits in my case with the extra bulk the battery adds on.

I agree fallenleader, it looks really stupid on the DSi. But hey, that never stopped anyone making products like this ;-)
@DarkShinigami: It looks like the battery pack is about half the size of the 3DS itself, so your case needs at least 1/3 more space for it to fit.

I've heard from people that the 3DS is too bulky and that it's battery is shit, so I'm going to wait 'til next year.

screw that 3DSi is what i want. 5" screens baby!
the ones they decided NOT to use to keep it a handheld and obviously allow booting into a game before fully draining a battery.

Ahahaha! So true, but the 3DS already has all the features of a DSi and more. :P

Pahaha, the zoom case actually looks quite funny. XD It is a pretty good idea though, and it's not exactly "that looks awful" funny, just more…"I didn't expect to see that" funny.

Hey ProtoKun!
Yes, it's not exactly what I was expecting to see either. When I looked at Nyko's website and saw that, I couldn't resist sharing it on here along with the 3DS PowerPack.
BTW, another company has apparently created a power pack as well which also boasts almost double the play time. I read about it a while ago, but can't remember any of the details (which company, the name, etc.) - so anyone that is interested will have to do a bit of research to find it.

By the way, has anyone here bought the Nyko pack? What did you think?
I ended up buying a Mac (computer) instead, so I haven't got my 3DS yet. Plan to get one before Zelda 3D is released though.

This is a little different to most of the announcements I post up here, but it's about the 3DS so I'll count that as being related. Read on for info about extending your DSi and 3DS consoles with a little bit of awesomeness!
I've just read through a review for the Power Pack +, a third-party battery pack for the Nintendo 3DS created by Nyko.
Some links might be useful, so here they are:
You might also be interested in looking at some of Nyko's other products, such as their Zoom Case for Nintendo DSi - it makes the handheld console look more digital camera-like, whilst giving you 8x optical zoom and a protective case at the same time. Note that I haven't tried this one myself, so I'd recommend that you search for some reviews before you buy it.
They also have Wii, Xbox and Playstation accessories - and you can access these from the menu on their website.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with them in any way, and I suggest you do some research of your own by looking at other reviews before buying any of their products - just like you would with anything else.
