This mess would not be as bad if the iEVO was not originally proclaimed to be DS and DSi mode compatible. If the iEVO was only for the DSi and 3DS than the only other real bug is the wi-fi not working in DSi mode. Team Cyclops states the wi-fi is capable in the product description. Yes, the mess would be less messy if the original EVO continues to be supported. It would however require buying two cards…something many of us did non-the-less anyway. Recent comments on gbatemp regarding a reply by TC is very disappointing to say the least…

Apparently, CycloDS iEvolution running 2.3 firmware is no longer working in regular DS mode on Nintendo 3DS v2.0.0-2 firmware update.
Strangely enough, DSi mode does work - it's just the regular DS mode that is not working.
If for some reason keeping your iEvolution working on a 3DS console is important to you, I'd suggest holding off on the 3DS update until more information is available.
