WiiU is weird… vita is hispanic food NGP was nicer, the back touch thing will prove interesting to anyone with large hands maybe.
and man, im going to just get a psp3k and a video cable, play psx on tv :)
live improvements? that means they'll hike the fee again soon.

I found an article that explains Microsoft's strategy with the new Windows 8 and Xbox 360 UI. Bit of a long read for some, perhaps.
Wii U is a strange name. Not sure how Nintendo thinks they will be taken seriously with naming strategies like this. "Nintendo 3DS" is good - judging by the fact that this was the name given to the console online long before they officially announced it, they probably decided their own internal name was crap and adopted that one.
I am very happy with the line up they're announcing for 3DS though. It makes the console look more and more worthwhile, adding to the few test runs I've had with other people's consoles. Just need to make sure I've got some spare cash to get both a 3DS and Zelda OoT 3D.
As with Sony, I usually don't follow them quite as much as I should. Judging by their recent trouble with hackers… maybe I should buy a PS3 just so I can get their next "welcome back" package when they inevitably fail again? ;-)

Another Halo game, damn :( I wish I hadn't of sold my Xbox 360.
With in regards to Sony I don't feel any remorse for them, they deserved what came to them. The first original attack from what I hear was fighting on behalf of the person that hacked the Sony and distributed Homebrew for it. Sony shouldn't of Sued him.
I only feel for the people that got there credit card details stolen which was a bit over the top, but yet again it is only probably only a minority of the majority that decided to do it. (within the Hacking Group)

The Halo franchise is owned by Microsoft (they bought it from Bungie before the first game was released, and kept them as developers).
Being Microsoft… of course there's another game! Did you expect them to give up on such a huge money-making franchise? ;-)
The difference this time is that it's not Bungie working on it any more - it's a new developer. 343 Industries.
Bungie - the guys that originally invented the franchise - have moved onto a new franchise that hasn't been announced yet, with Activision as publisher this time. The new game will apparently be on other consoles as well.

Has there been any report of these details being used maliciously yet?
It's possible they only accessed these details to show that they could. If credit card details are stolen, it makes much bigger news than if only a few username and password keys were taken.

Didn't Microsoft buy the Halo franchise after It boosted sales of the original Xbox?
From what I have heard Bungie jumped on the Call of Duty bandwagon and will be making or will help make future COD games.
Infinity Ward around a similar time got the axe from what I have heard. Don't know if it is related or not.
I hear a lot of peoples credit card details that were stolen were used to make online internet transactions for pron sites and other various services.

Activision also publishes the Call of Duty series, but as far as I am aware Bungie is not involved in that at all - they are creating a new, space-themed franchise, most likely another FPS (but not a COD game). Details are scarce at the moment so… who knows what might happen in the future?
The Infinity Ward issue… basically, as soon as Modern Warfare 2 was released Activision tried to sack a few of the lead developers. They threw up a fuss, and ended up convincing a ton of others from IW to join them in forming a new company. So Activision originally planned to let go just one or two people, and ended up ripping apart Infinity Ward instead. There's still a few left, plus new developers to fill up the team, and as far as I'm aware that is the new group working on Modern Warfare 3.
Someone from work recently bought a PS3 to play the exclusives like Infamous. Waste of money for just one or two games IMO, considering they already have an Xbox 360. But then, I haven't seen any gameplay footage for Infamous so perhaps I'm speaking a bit early about that.

Thanks for updating me on what is happening, I still have my Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo Reach so I may as well get Halo 4 to add to the collection. It will be weird that it won't be a Bungie game but 343 Industries is OK I guess, the last lot of smap packs for reach were okay which they had there hand in. Wait and see I suppose..

Yes, I forgot about that. The most recent map pack for Reach was by 343 Industries - so that's our first taste of what they can bring to the Halo franchise.
I'll probably get Halo: CE Anniversary Edition as well. Was a massive fan of the original game (first FPS I'd ever played on a console), and being able to play those old maps on Xbox Live will be a nice trip back to the past.
When Halo 1 was first released, XBL didn't even exist, so it only supported LAN play with multiple Xbox originals linked up with a switch.

There is going to be a new release of Halo CE for 360… If so I am so going to buy a Xbox 360 to play again :)
Halo CE was the third Xbox game I played, I got it from a secondhand shop for $20.00, two or three weeks after it came out. Having never heard of the Halo game nor never hearing of the original Mac version, it instantly had me sold to keep my Xbox. Then Halo 2 came out I remember my mother going to town to pick it up and meeting her at my friends house to play two player….. Good times with swords and shotguns :)

We got Halo bundled with our Xbox for Christmas. I remember first time we saw the Assault Rifle… it looked like the Pistol but as if we were facing it at ourselves.
Didn't want to fire it in case we committed suicide!
And I fondly remember a couple of grunts running away screaming "I surrender!", only to get killed half a second later by that pistol. We don't take prisoners of war. :) Strangely, I've never heard them say that phrase again - it only happened once.

I succumbed and bought another Xbox 360 secondhand MW2 one for $150.. The aniversary edition of CE comes out on my Bday :P
