the death toll is higher in the sout luckily my grandparents did not die but there was one biug tsunami scare and theres still no school until 2 weeks later

yep. we in aussie were given some of the aftershocks. that's how big it was :[

Oh yes, I remember that. Apparently the east coast had a "mini-tsunami", with the water rising up to a few centimetres higher, or something. Not much to be concerned about here anyway, as we were so far away from the epicentre of the 'quake. Obviously it wreaked havoc for closer coastlines :|

a while ago there was an earthquake there and it was where i used to live also there was anthor small one recently and it reminded me of this in the first one
