Friend Code System

I'm going to write down this request step by step

1.First there would be a page or section with the Title (Friend Code Exchange) or anything else

2.then to make the list as short as possible the page will have no codes on it

3.if a person wants to add a code they will add a page with the name of the game and id

4. to make the name of the game look better than the original there will be a person to provide an appropriate Title then lock the page from renaming(if possible)

5.after a person adds this game it gets added to a "Games i own" tab in the user profile

6.the list of games will show just user names not friend codes

7.if a person wants to add that user they just click the name and a popup menu will show "do you want to add [insert name here]

8. if they press yes they will be redirected to a page showing the person's friend code

9. a link will be under the code that will ask if you finished adding the person

10. after this person adds the other person the user who got added will be sent a message or pm telling them that [username here] added this person

11.if the person accepts this they will be shown another friend code that the person owns (if they put one)

11.5. if the person did not add a friend code then that person will be sent a message saying to add one if not they cannot anybody of that game

12. and thats all i think its either too complicated or too long tell me what you think Leiger

That's similar to what I had in mind.

  1. If you have a game, you create a new page for that game. But with this release list idea… the page will already be created, so perhaps this could be incorporated into that somehow.
  2. On the game page, you have the option to add your friend code. If you add your friend code, it appears in your profile.

So, your profile shows a list of friend codes, and the game that they relate to.

And the game pages show a list of users that have added their friend code, and the code that they added.

But, that doesn't solve the problem of having to organise when to do these battles, etc. Maybe I should make a new forum section for this, and people can create threads there like "I have HG and am up for a battle this weekend, anyone interested?"

See TODO list for the website: Bugs + Features — it is listed as planned/accepted.

i dont think you should link it to the release list instead make it happen manually by just using the game id since all of them dont have wifi

Linking it to the release list means that there won't be two pages for the exact same game — everything is in once place.

And every game doesn't need to have friend codes or Wifi. I can make a second list that is automatically generated, to show the games that people have added their FC to. Will that help? ;-)
